I am so thrilled you stopped by to say hello.
A little about me. I have lived and worked in the Stevens Point area for over 20 years. My husband and I have been married for over 19 years. We are raising two teenagers and love it…most days! Not only do I work weddings full time but also play the awesome role of Dance & Soccer Mom, too.
Since Distinctly Yours Wedding & Events first began in the Spring of 2010, the company has grown tremendously! In that time, we’ve designed, planned, and coordinated over 100+ weddings (lost count actually) of all sizes and style. Each wedding has included personal touches and unique details customized to reflect the individual style of each and every couple—meaning no two weddings are ever alike. EVER! And I love that most about my job!

How would you know what things actually cost? You’ve never put together a wedding before. As a planner, we will create a detailed budget and keep you on track to staying within your budget.

We have developed great relationships with area wedding vendors. We are oftentimes able to negotiate pricing due to the amount of business we give our vendors.
Give valuable advice.
As a wedding planner, we know the ins and outs of the wedding industry. We know exactly which wedding venues can accommodate your wedding size, fit within your budget, yet also give you the atmosphere you want. We know which florist can create the perfect floral backdrop for your wedding ceremony, or which wedding DJ can keep your guests dancing all night long.
Oftentimes a bride and groom find that planning a wedding can create tension between them and their families. We know how to deal with these situations and will act as the middle person to help avoid conflicts.
Creates a wedding day schedule and flow for the day.
We confirm all of your vendors setup times and details before your wedding. We create your reception room setup diagram and create a detailed timeline for your entire wedding day. We will handle and organize all of these tasks and more prior to your wedding.
Point of contact on your wedding day.
Don’t want your caterer to call you the morning of your wedding asking questions about setup? Or your officiant coming to you for his final check payment right before your wedding ceremony begins? As your wedding planner, we will be the point of contact for all vendors on your wedding day so you can sit back and enjoy your special day.
Handles wedding day “fires.”
Trust us on this, something always goes wrong at each wedding. Whether it is something big or small, we are well trained in putting out these “fires” so that you and your guests don’t even know they happened.
