Vendor Spotlight: Dance with Dignity Wedding DJ & Entertainer

Every week I pick a local vendor from the Stevens Point area out of my wedding planning hat and show off some of their outstanding work and expertise to the world.  The area vendor in the spotlight each week will be from interesting areas such as; area venues to bands, DJ’s, photographers, decorators, florists and cake designers, ect. to assist in helping you with your wedding planning process.

Dance with Dignity This week I am featuring a local DJ & Entertainer, Ryan Bair of Dance with Dignity.  I love his passion for music and how he makes your wedding reception fun for you and for your guests.  Here is a little about Ryan and how he can make your wedding planning easy.

How long have you been in the wedding industry?

Since 2005.

What made you go into your line of work?

I started as a DJ my senior year in high school. From that I continued to expand my DJ skills and acquired lights and lasers to make the night more exciting.  I have a big passion for music and love to be able to share that with others.

What is you favorite thing about weddings?

The personal involvement I have with helping newlyweds celebrate their wedding day and knowing that I help create the finishing touch to their celebration.

What is the favorite part of your job?Dance with Dignity

I enjoy knowing that I’ve done my best in helping others have a great time.

What is your favorite wedding detail you’ve ever seen or created?

It may seem little, but really goes a long way. I provide glow-stick bracelets and necklaces to all the children to get involved in the dance. I provide wireless microphones for those who wish to call out dance moves during a certain line dance songs.

What steps do you take to ensure that your clients will have amazing wedding days when working with you?

When possible, I prefer to meet with the engaged couple at least twice before their wedding day to go over specific songs, couples dances and what songs they DON’T want played at the dance. We also go over all the scheduling of the day to ensure the day is worry free, from an entertainment aspect at least.

I’m very particular about how loud the sound is and how the lights are positioned. The last things I want to hear are that the music is too loud so that no one could talk and/or the lights are hitting people in the eyes and decreasing their enjoyment.
