I know everyone in the wedding industry “says that”, but I really do!
My passion for weddings is one of my biggest strengths. Just have a short conversation with me and you’ll understand. So I started my own business so that I could be devoted to planning and executing weddings full time. Plus, that is what sets me apart from other event planning companies in the area. I only do weddings and that is where my expertise lies and I have been doing that full time for 12 years.
How did Distinctly Yours Wedding & Events begin?
After high school, I (Marsha) attended the University of Wisconsin-Stout and have a bachelors degree in Hospitality Management. There is where I discovered the event planning bug in me. Upon moving to Stevens Point and falling in love with my husband, Steve. My love for planning event continued on the side..ie wedding showers, baby showers, workshops, conferences, retreats…you name it. But, my passion was weddings. The priceless part of starting Distinctly Yours Wedding & Events company, is that I get to focus on what I love most and that is weddings. It is what I do all day…every day.
My passion and my business started growing…
Erin joined the company in the beginning of 2014. It has been a perfect match of skill and personality. We have a lot of fun! Erin is organized, quick on her feet, super creative and has a huge, huge heart for helping people. I have loved every minute of her being part of this team!
We live for perfectly executed events. We love to assist with weddings full of special details that tell about the couple and their story. We always get super excited to hear guests say “this wedding was just so beautiful and so them!”
