Bride and groom in giant bubble exhibit in Milwaukee

2023 Year in Review: What a Year!

What a year! After the pandemic-induced dry spell, our weddings have kicked back better than ever. We had a large group of weddings with creative brides and grooms and were able to execute some lovely, one-of-a kind weddings. Here, we get to celebrate those couples as we wrap up 2023!

In this blog, we will often give vendor shout-outs, and would encourage you to visit their websites. To do so, we’ve added links to the vendor names themselves, so you can just click on each name to be directed to the vendor’s website.

Danielle & Cody

Danielle & Cody celebrated their love story with their 3 children, their family, and their friends at Camp Alexander in Wisconsin Rapids. This venue helped establish a laid-back and romantic outdoor vibe, which worked especially well for a kid-friendly wedding where their children could enjoy a beautiful summer day and the celebration of a lifetime for their family.

Jessica & Adam

Jessica and Adam worked hard to surprise their guests with so many delights at their intimate wedding at a VRBO Property in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. They had a backyard, lakeside ceremony, complete with a Wild Fire Pizza food truck, matching sweat suits for all, a dance party on the dock, campfire, and margaritas. What a happy day!

Andrew & Mackenzie

This sweet couple celebrated their love with a Stevens Point wedding, with a reception at Eron’s Event Barn. This classic day celebrated all the delightful parts about them, including a mid-day stop to get King Cone ice cream.

Margaret & Michael

Under the perfectly chosen stars in the planetarium sky (from the night they met in Israel), Margaret and Michael wed at the Milwaukee Public Museum. We also loved capitalizing on the fact that the Bubble Exhibit was happening outside and allowed for such fun photos between the ceremony and reception! Their reception in The Streets of Old Milwaukee exhibit was a delightful family style dinner. What a magical day from start to finish.

Shannon & Michael

These two are a complete blast. Shannon and Michael planned a Wisconsin Northwoods backyard wedding with a sunflower theme, complete with a booze cruise, clear party tent, and huge smiles and laughs all day long.

Haley & Paul

This backyard wedding in Waupaca was charming as all get out. In the backyard beside the lake, under a perfectly sunny sky, Haley and Paul tied the knot and celebrated all day with their best people. We loved getting Dane’s Hall decorated and ready to go – a main street staple of Waupaca, and the perfect accommodations for such a fabulous wedding reception!

Abbey & Tyler

Abbey & Tyler chose Stevens Point’s SentryWorld as their venue, and we can’t say enough about weddings here. The grounds are spectacular, the interior spaces are gorgeous, and the event team there is a dream to work with. This was a beautiful wedding, top to bottom! The cherry on top was the amazing floral talents by Evolutions in Design which tied everything together.

Emily & Kian

Emily & Kian got married at the amphitheater at Rib Mountain State Park – a completely stunning view on a perfect day. They opted for a reception at The Folk Farm, and with their decorating and outfit choices, the day turned out whimsical, magical, and colorful.

Brittany & Chris

On the same day as Emily & Kian (above), Brittany and Chris also tied the knot at an amphitheater: this time, at Schmeeckle Reserve in Stevens Point. We are thankful to have multiple wedding planners on our staff so we can pull off double wedding days like this! As for UWSP’s Schmeeckle Reserve: what a  gorgeous spot for a ceremony, under the tall pines of a nature preserve! Their glam reception at Muse at SentryWorld was a complete party, and so beautifully photographed.

Ellen & Dan

This Wausau wedding was completely charming, even with rain. Ellen and Dan’s ceremony at Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum in Wausau had full smiles and full rain, and full charm. The following day, the party continued with a Rib Mountain State Park reception, including chairlift rides to take in the fall colors. Can’t get enough!!

Lindsey & Craig

This Central Wisconsin wedding had the most gorgeous fall weather, and great photos to prove it! Lindsey & Craig had a Catholic church wedding with a reception at Memories in Plover, and their day was accented with beautiful florals from Detailed Designs Floral Boutique.

Kim & Jesse

Kim and Jesse opted for a romantic and cozy wedding with all their best people at Camp Jorn, and had a camp wedding complete with a canoe ride during golden hour. We loved planning this wedding alongside these tremendous people!

Gabby & Dan

What a way to wrap up our 2023! As the season finale, Gabby and Dan’s New Years Eve wedding at The Rothschild Pavillion was a fabulous celebration to cap off a great year. We loved experiencing the confetti and countdown at midnight on the dance floor – what a terrific memory!
