Alex and Ryan’s wedding was this past August in the beautiful Rothschild Pavilion near Wausau, Wisconsin! With both of them residing in Stevens Point, a Central Wisconsin location was a no-brainer location for them to bring their closest friends and family, from all across the state, to celebrate their marriage!

We love planning and executing weddings at the Rothschild Pavilion.  Alex & Ryan’s elegant wedding was definitely highlighted with all the charm & nostalgia that the Rothschild Pavilion brings to share their love story.

Elegant wedding reception setting at the Rothchild Pavilion

The Rothschild Pavilion has been a showplace for many years. It was built in 1908, however, in 1910 the building burned down.  It was re-built in 1911 and has been named to the National Register of Historical Places.

Today, the Pavilion is the ideal place to gather loved ones on your wedding day. Featuring a spacious layout, hardwood floors, fireplace, wood tones and brick accents, this venue has the charm and elegance.

I had so much fun planning with Alex & Ryan! It is how planning a wedding (or any event) should be – fun, meaningful, and all centered around their love for each other! I was so honored to be part of their wedding day.  A little behind the scenes fact is that Alex has been part of our staff with Distinctly Yours Weddings.  She had been a  lead Wedding Coordinator for almost two years prior to her wedding.  She has seen both sides of what a wedding coordinator brings to your wedding day.

Bridesmaid’s First Look

I have so many favorite parts of their wedding day, but hands down, one of my very favorite moments of the day was  the Bridesmaid’s First Look!

Bridemaid's seeing the Bride for the First Time

There’s just something so special about the first moment your best friends and family see you as a BRIDE for the first time! It gets me every time… and I’m not the only one, because there were plenty of happy tears from everyone involved!! Such a sweet moment.  (aka I was prepared with lots of tissues!)

The dinner celebration was a mix of long rectangular tables filled with lush greenery, florals, and candles from end to end with a few large round tables fitted with tall vases all beautifully created by Flowers of the Field. Of course, no reception is complete without amazing entertainment! The Mix outdid themselves. This band was talented, energetic, and so easy to work with! They had the dance floor packed ALL NIGHT LONG!!
