Meet M&M.
Margaret and Michael are an absolute delight. They are quirky, loads of fun, completely in love with each other, and wildly creative, which makes for a very exuberant wedding planning process. We were happy to take their wedding vision and run with it, ending up with an artistic and expressive wedding day that we will never forget.
In terms of what vibe they wanted in their wedding, they were shooting for nerdy, unique, and personal. Their whole wedding was based around elements that are special to them. Their ceremony songs are from some of their favorite fantasy movies, including elements from tv shows they love, also incorporating elements from Dungeons and Dragons, and more.
They chose purple and silver as their wedding colors, showing off a favorite color from both the bride and groom.
When it came time to do a first look and choose fun Milwaukee spots for portraits of Margaret & Michael, we had great options! M&M chose to have their first look at the Milwaukee Public Library, and the bubble exhibit. The bubble exhibit was in Milwaukee at the time, a gorgeous and FUN art installation that served as an AMAZING backdrop.
Venue: Milwaukee Public Museum
Margaret and Michael love museums, and the Milwaukee Public Museum is one of their favorites. Michael surprised Margaret with a Valentine’s Day show in the planetarium for our anniversary one year, and that’s still one of her favorite dates.
The museum’s planetarium was chosen as the ceremony venue, and the stars projected in the planetarium were the same stars that shone in the sky on the night M&M met in Israel.
When it came time for the reception, we set up shop in Haymarket Square for the wedding reception. What a creative spot for a wedding reception!! It was such a fabulous creative experience for us to carry out Margaret & Michael’s vision, to experience the dancing in the “streets”, to the traditional Hora during the dance, and all these FUN people! We wish we could live this day again; it was so so so special.
