Meet Randi & Jake.
Randi and Jake are the best. They’re high-achievers, both excelling in their medical careers, and they both such lovely people who are delightful to spend time with. Even though they live in Central Wisconsin, they wanted to make sure that their wedding venue was stunningly beautiful and could accommodate their wedding dreams with breathtaking scenery and accommodating interior reception spaces, and they wisely landed on Chapters on the Horizon.
One of the challenges of planning this wedding was finding vendors who were able to service such a remote wedding location. This is an important reason to hire a wedding planner to help solve the puzzle! With pre-planning, this high-end wedding was possible, and there were thoughtful touches like Jake and Randi hiring a transportation team to transfer their guests from the venue to the hotel and back. When all was said and done, the vendor team that was assembled did such a lovely job, and executed a gorgeous wedding day.
The First Look, with Rain
Jake and Randi had to make some pivots on their wedding day to accommodate the all-day rain. Luckily for all of us, the indoor space is so lovely and architecturally interesting, and made the perfect backdrop for both the first look and the ceremony.
The Ceremony
Rain, rain, rain. We had to bring the wedding ceremony inside. We had discussed the rain plan many times, so we knew exactly what the plan would be if we needed to shift our plans. We made the call on the morning of the wedding so Alex and Greta could have ample time to set up the ceremony space inside. Again, lucky for us, the inside space is so lovely and photographed so well! The Chapters on the Horizon staff was so accommodating and helpful, and the flow of the day worked smoothly even in spite of the rain.
The Bridal Party
Not surprisingly, these two fabulous people have fabulous friends. Plus, with flowers done by Flowers of the Field, the photos turned out just beautifully. Jake and Randi opted for silk flowers, which on a rainy wedding day, helped the bouquets to stand up well in the rain. It also was logistically simple to pick up the flowers ahead of time and bring everything to the venue without being concerned about wilting flowers.
The Reception
The indoor reception space at Chapters on the Horizon held so many wonderful details, including the full bar and great service, the fancy room for the wedding cake, the outdoor patio space for cocktails, and ample space for the full reception space. What a tremendous location for such a beautiful day!
